Furniture

We craft our furniture in a variety of timber, including traditional Oak, Ash, Kauri and recycled Rimu - a timber unique to New Zealand and sourced from demolition sites around Christchurch.

Our skilled craftsmen use traditional methods, i.e. dovetailed drawers, and each piece is independently created, not mass produced.

Our range includes furniture for all rooms - dining tables, chairs, book cases, coffee tables, wardrobes, bedroom suites, etc.

Most of our furniture is bespoke, made to an individual client's requirements.

Wooden Windows

Insulating Glass Units (IGU) - double glazing - are designed to provide thermal insulation for building envelopes. They are used to reduce heat loss and heat gain depending on the climate and IGU combination.The timber frame is a natural insulator and acts as a thermal break. Grant Kearney Joiners is pleased to be part of the project the Master Joiners Association is currently undertaking to ensure wooden joinery complies with the NZ standards for watertightness of windows (NZS4211).

Dining Furniture

We carry in stock a variety of dining suites, with 6 different designs of chairs ranging from formal to country.
All tables are manufactured from solid timber and can be either fixed or extendable.

Doors

Doors are an important feature in your house, whether you are wanting to create a grand front entrance or want bi-fold, french or sliding doors to your outdoor living space.
Grant Kearney Joiners will custom make your doors from high quality timber to your exact size and specifications.

Stairs

We manufacture and install quality staircases, handrails and balustrading from the timber of your choice.
